Golf season has officially begun here at Willow Valley! To celebrate we are hosting our 2017 Spring Tournament on Sunday May 7th. It will be a great day filled with golf, food, and most importantly FUN!
The cost of entry will include an 18 hole round, with a cart provided as well as access to the driving range to warm up before your round begins. There will be a 1pm shotgun start, rain or shine! We recommend arriving at the course around 11:30am to register, as well as to receive the lunch that will be provided at 12noon. Dinner will also be provided following the round. There will be many chances to win fantastic contests throughout the day as well.
The format of the tournament will be a scramble. If you've never taken part of a scramble, it is very easy to pick up and is a great format for golfers of all calibers! Each player will be a part of a team. At each hole each player will hit a tee shot, and then the team chooses the best of these tee shots as the location for their next shot. Each player will then take their shot from that location, and again they pick the best shot. The entire round continues in this manner. This gives each player the opportunity to play on their strengths! For example, one player may have excellent tee shots, while another's strength is putting. This creates a fun way to compete against one another!
